The Bali Aquarium is envisioned as a landmark cultural and ecological destination, celebrating the island’s unique natural heritage and marine biodiversity. Aquamarine was tasked with developing a comprehensive brand identity that reflects both the spirit of Bali and the immersive experiences of the aquarium, one that could resonate with international visitors while remaining authentic to local traditions and aesthetics.

The branding concept drew inspiration from Bali’s lush tropical environment, traditional artistry, and vibrant cultural motifs. The logo features a distinctive “Bali Aquarium” wordmark, with elegant, flowing letterforms that echo the rhythm of waves and organic patterns. A rich, natural color palette, teals, deep blues, warm sands, and lush greens connects the identity to both ocean and land, while typography balances modern legibility with a strong sense of place. The identity also extended into thematic campaigns such as “Ocean After Dark”, positioning the aquarium as a dynamic, family-friendly attraction that transforms from day to night.

Deliverables included a full logo and brand identity suite with flexible applications, marketing campaigns, environmental graphics and signage, digital presence through website design, branded collateral and merchandise, and detailed brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all media.

The branding positioned the Bali Aquarium as a “unique destination like no other”, aligning its identity with both global aquarium standards and Bali’s cultural richness. Strong visual consistency across print, digital, and environmental applications created immediate recognition and anticipation. Early campaigns such as “Dive into Discovery” sparked public interest and reinforced the mission to blend conservation, education, and tourism. By combining local inspiration with international design language, the Bali Aquarium identity establishes the project not only as an ecological showcase but also as a cultural landmark for Bali, enhancing the island’s global profile as a center for sustainable tourism.
